YOUTH YACHT CLUB 6 WEEK SUMMER PROGRAM
Classroom Setting
Classes are actually held on our Chris Craft 45 Commander Promotional Yacht docked at Riverside Marina in Detroit. Your Child gets an awesome real-time learning experience. Classes are held each Saturday morning from 9am-Noon. Summer Program begins June 21st and ends July 19th 2025. Limited spaces are available.
Enroll or Sponsor a Child. Your support is greatly appreciated.
(Ages 10-17 years old)
1. Boaters Safety
Your Child receives an Official Certificate from a State-recognized Boaters Safety Course Affiliate. We administer the course in a classroom setting on our Flagship Advertising Vessel.
(2 Week Course)
2. Motorized Boats
Your Child is taught the components of motorized boats, their function and operation. by a Certified Boat Mechanic. A Certificate of Course Completion is issued.
(3 Week Course)
3. Captain Lesson
Your Child is taught the basics of Docking and Navigating a Boat
Hands-On Experience!
A Certificate of Summer Program Completion is issued.
(Final Week of Summer Program)
4. Career Opportunities
At completion of our summer program, Your Child may be eligible to receive a Scholarship to become a Certified Boat Mechanic or Licensed Boat Captain. Career opportunities in the industry are thriving on a Local and Global basis for Engineering, Logistics, etc.
